U13s beat Wistaston by 7 runs. Euan Jamieson taking 3-12 and scoring 21.

2s reach the semi finals of the T20. Ashley Sefton is the man, taking 4-9 to restrict visitors Cholmondeley to 108-8 then smashing 32 in 14 balls as Northwich reach the target for the loss of 4 wickets and with 4 overs to spare. Full story on the forum...

4s lose at Tattenhall by 24 disappointing runs
U15s lose badly having made the long trip to Heaton Mersey
U13s lose a close game at home to Alderley Edge
Saturday - WIN! WIN! WIN! - again!!
1s return to winning ways with a 84 run win at Ashley. Stuart Hayes takes a remarkable 8-13 to skittle the home side for 112. Earlier Northwich recovered from 85-6 to reach 196, thanks to Matt Jamieson 71 and support from John O'Sullivan (33) and Ben Elliot (28)
2s made hard work of beating Ashley 2s in the reverse fixture by 3 wickets. 3 wickets each for Mike Whitehead and Richard Maddock sent the visitors back for 115. Lee Evans top scored with 38 as they eventually edged home.
3s recorded a stunning win at Langley 2s. Chasing 178, Northwich won by 8 wickets, thanks mainly to a stunning Joe Hughes unbeaten 85.

Community Amateur Sports Club.
The club has been successful in the application and is now a registered C.A.S.C. The full implications of this will mean Tax benefits for the club.

 

WANTED - Seating
We desperately need somewhere for all our parents and spectators to sit and watch the cricket. During the winter our wooden benches were stolen or vandalised. CAN YOU help or do you know anyone that can.

 

For Hire Our pavilion is open to hire for meetings, christenings and parties, provided there is no cricket going on. Get in contact with the club secretary to discuss your requirements.

Fund-Raising

As always it is a constant struggle to raise funds to keep our club functioning and providing quality facilities and equipment for our members. This year our Social committee has been tasked with raising £5,000 to supplement our income. Watch out for details of plenty of enjoyable events over the summer. and registering with us as your chosen cause. Raise funds for the club when doing your online shopping.

  In 2009 we will be fielding 4 senior sides and junior sides at 6 age groups. The 1st XI will compete in Division 1 of the Mellor Braggins Cheshire Cricket League. The 2nd XI in Division A of the same league. The 3rd XI will compete in Division 5 of the Cheshire Alliance and the 4th XI in the Sunday Division 3 West of the Cheshire County League.  We will also field junior teams at Under 19, who will compete in the Mid-Cheshire Youth Cricket Association, Under 17 who have entered the John North Cheshire knockout,  Under 15 in the Cheshire County League, 2 Under 13 teams in the Cheshire County League and the South Cheshire Association, as well as 2 Under 11 sides, in the South Cheshire and North Cheshire Associations and an Under 9 team, also playing their fixtures in the South Cheshire Junior Cricket Association.
